2018 Bowling, Golf, and Tennis Convocation

Golf Season Closes Out at State Championship

The Brother Martin Golf team finished up their 2017-2018 season at the State Championship in Lafayette, LA on Tuesday, May 1. Golf Team Qualifies for State Championship

Congratulations to the Golf team for their performance in the Regional Championship.  After a rough front nine, our Crusaders rallied to post a season-low team score of 320 and finished in 3rd place beating out Zachary High School and St. Pauls High School.   Cameron Avery and Dwayne Heron finished their last three holes 1-under par and posted scored of 80 and 79.  After a tough start, Sport Faust shot a 39 on the last 9 holes to record an 84. Golf Advances to Regional Qualifier

The Brother Martin Golf team finished 3rd place in District yesterday at a tournament at Beau Chene Golf Course.  Our Crusaders advanced to the Regional Qualifier which will take place next Tuesday, April 24th at Carter Plantation. What a Night for Crusader Athletics!

On Tuesday, March 27th, Crusader Athletics swept the evening with victories! The day began with our Crusader Bowling team participating in the Bi-Regional Tournament at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner. The first round matchup, at 1:00 pm, was against St. Amant with the Crusaders winning 23-4. Brother Martin High School fields a JV and a Varsity golf team.  All grade levels are welcomed to the team.  Students interested in competing are encouraged to attend our tryouts during the fall and spring semesters.  Brother Martin is happy to call Bayou Oaks South Course home.  All of our home matches are played there, and the course serves as our practice venue for all in-season work.

Varsity competes in the Catholic League against other Archdiocesan High Schools for our district play, as well as other high schools for competition outside of our district.  By entering in multiple tournaments each year, we are constantly challenging our student-athletes to become more focused, more discipline, and stronger golfers.
