Peyton Aucoin ’16 Commits to Texas Longhorns

Senior tight end Peyton Aucoin ’16 committed to play football at the University of Texas. Aucoin decided that he will continue his football career as a Longhorn after the 2015-2016 Brother Martin school year. The 6-foot- 5, 250 pound Aucoin also received offers from Ole Miss, Tulane, Vanderbilt, N.C. West ’15 Commits to Northwestern State

Alum and former running back Jared West’15 has committed to play football at Northwestern State. Previously, West committed to Northern Colorado, but did not sign his Letter of Intent on National Signing Day in February. Instead, he decided to re-open his recruitment and five months later is now looking forward to joining the Demons football team. Read more »

Swilling Brothers Receive Offers from LSU

Brothers Tre Swilling ‘17 and Bruce Jordan-Swilling ‘17 both received offers to play football at LSU. Tre is a cornerback on the Crusader football team. He also has offers from Michigan and Troy, with Georgia and Oklahoma State showing interest. Bruce Jordan-Swilling, who plays both running back and linebacker for the Crusaders, received his offer from LSU as an athlete. Senior Irvin Smith, Jr. ’16 Commits to Texas A& M

Senior tight end Irvin Smith, Jr. ’16 has verbally committed  to play football at Texas A&M University in College Station. Smith decided to commit to Texas A&M after his visit to College Station last weekend. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Smith also received offers from Texas, Michigan, Miami, Arizona State, Tulane, Missouri, and Oklahoma State. Other schools interested in Smith were Alabama, Nebraska and Notre Dame. Crusaders End Spring with Successful Outing Against Slidell

At the end of the spring season, Brother Martin proved there is a lot to look forward to as a Crusader fan in the 2015 season. Slidell struck first scoring on a 43-yard reception deep down the middle of the field and later scoring a 12-yard touchdown. However, after the strong Tiger start, the Crusader offense and defense started to click. The Football Program consists of five levels of competition: eighth grade, ninth grade, junior varsity, and varsity. Team selections for the varsity and junior varsity teams are made through a tryout process.

Participation at the junior high and ninth grade levels is limited only by medical or physical concerns.
