Varsity Football to Play John Curtis in Semifinals

Congratulations to our Crusader Varsity Football Team for their 25-23 victory over the Catholic High Bears. Morning Spirit

On the morning of one of the biggest football games of the year, the Student Council led a small spirit rally to get the ‘Sader nation excited.  The Benson Mall was rockin’ as the Crusader Band marched the halls of the school and performed Neck and the Crusader Fight Song.  Head Coach Mark Bonis talked about the significance of this game and led the student body in a cheer. For the first time in school history, two Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools–Brother Martin and Catholic High in Baton Rouge–face each other in the football playoffs. Broggi Named Player of the Week

Junior quarterback Jake Broggi has been chosen as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club,, WGSO, 990 AM, WHNO, TV 20 and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week 11 for his outstanding performance vs. the Shaw Eagles. The Football Program consists of five levels of competition: seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, junior varsity, and varsity. Team selections for the varsity and junior varsity teams are made through a tryout process.

Participation at the junior high and ninth grade levels is limited only by medical or physical concerns.
