Broggi Leads Crusaders on Road Win

This past weekend, the Crusaders (3-0) traveled 70 miles as they cruised to a 41-20 non-district victory Friday night at Demon Stadium. Crusaders Advance to 2-0 with Saturday Win

Despite a slow first quarter start, Brother Martin (2-0) walked away with a 33-24 win. The Crusader defense held Ehret to 24 total yards of offense in the first half, but Ehret turned things around as made things interesting as they scored with 6:10 remaining to make it 27-24.  In the end, however, the Crusaders were able to put them away on Bruce Jordan-Swilling’s 22-yard touchdown run with four minutes. Ground Game Punishes Patterson in 49-28 Win

Brother Martin scored four first-half touchdowns to help defeat Patterson 49-28 in Week 1 of the 2014 season.  Brother Martin (1-0) wasted little time getting things going by opening the game with a 12-play, 70 yard drive that ate 5:52 off the clock. Strong Offense Leads Crusaders to Victory

Four high schools competed in the first ever Brothers of the Sacred Heart Jamboree this past weekend, held at the football stadium at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. Holy Cross defeated Houma’s Vandebilt Catholic in the first game. The Crusaders then defeated Thibodaux’s E.D. The Football Program consists of five levels of competition: seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, junior varsity, and varsity. Team selections for the varsity and junior varsity teams are made through a tryout process.

Participation at the junior high and ninth grade levels is limited only by medical or physical concerns.
