Ryan Hoefeld ’13 Named to 2014 All ACC Academic Football Team

Florida State’s Ryan Hoefeld ’13 was recently named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Football Team announced by ACC Commissioner John Swofford. Hoefeld, a redshirt freshman center, stepped into the lineup for the Seminoles because of injuries and helped lead FSU to a 4-0 record in his starts, including wins over then-No. 5 Notre Dame and a 21-point comeback victory at Louisville. Crusaders Sign on the Dotted Line

On National Signing Day, seniors Roderic Teamer and Brendon Hayes signed their letters of intent.  Teamer decided to commit with the Tulane Green Wave.  The Teamer family has a long tradition with Tulane University which weighed heavily into Rod’s decision.  Teamer is excited about the opportunity because he feels like he’s “got a chance to play early” and wants to play wherever he can help the team out most.  He looks forward to playing at Yulman Read more »

Crusader Athletes Make College Decisions

Two Crusaders have decided to continue their athletic careers at the next level. Senior defensive end Brendon Hayes ’15 recently ended his recruitment when he pledged to the University of Central Florida. Hayes says he plans to major in mechanical engineering and will enroll starting this summer. Hayes also had offers from Washington State and Wake Forest. The Football Program consists of five levels of competition: seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, junior varsity, and varsity. Team selections for the varsity and junior varsity teams are made through a tryout process.

Participation at the junior high and ninth grade levels is limited only by medical or physical concerns.
