Jordan-Swilling ’17 Honored as a GNO Amateur Athlete

Junior Bruce Jordan-Swilling, running back for the Crusader Football team, has been selected as the Greater New Orleans Amateur Athlete of the Month for September. Crusaders Fall to Purple Knights 47-44

Over the  “Rivalry” weekend the Crusaders were defeated by the St. Augustine Purple Knights in a District 9-5A matchup on Saturday night at Tad Gormley Stadium. Thrilling Win for the ‘Saders Over John Curtis

The last man standing for the Crusaders was Quarterback Jake Broggi ’16 who helped Brother Martin defeat the John Curtis Patriots in a 40-37 overtime win. Broggi faked a hand off to Bruce Jordan-Swilling and ran around the right side for a 10 yard touchdown. The Football Program consists of four levels of competition: eighth grade, ninth grade, junior varsity, and varsity. Team selections for the varsity and junior varsity teams are made through a tryout process.

Participation at the junior high and ninth grade levels is limited only by medical or physical concerns.
