What is a Brothers of the Sacred Heart school Partner in Mission?
According to the Province of the United States Schools of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart document entitled Partners in Mission, our Partners in Mission are members of our faculty and staff who share a common vision of education:
"As genuine partners in mission the brothers and laymen and women who work in these schools strive to embody (Father André) Coindre’s charism in various educational settings... all schools hold to one standard: that we consider our schools successful if our students graduate with the strong belief that God loves them and that students develop that belief by how much their teachers love them and how much they sense that love through the interest shown them in the classroom and extracurricular activities."
Brother Martin High School is continually searching for faculty members to assist its mission. We actively seek those candidates for employment who are competent in their subject area, and who are open to continual personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Further, we seek candidates who believe in the basic goodness of young people and who are willing to be available to young people in class, at appropriate times and in appropriate ways outside of class, and through extracurricular activities.
We seek those professionals interested in the holistic formation of young people. We strive to create an en environment around young people that they can completely trust and one that fosters academic excellence. We believe this happens most effectively in a caring but disciplined faith community. To achieve this type of community we intentionally seek to integrate Catholic tradition and the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Our ultimate objective is to form young people in faith, character and values so that they can participate generously in the building of a more Christian nation and world.
To attract such professionals able and willing to provide instruction, formation and witness to young people, we have a competitive professional compensation plan and benefits. This compensation plan rewards those who excel in furthering the school's mission and those who have been faithful and loyal to that mission over time. Anyone who may be interested in applying for a faculty job at Brother Martin can download a copy of the Brother Martin High School Faculty Employment Application from this website. We are always eager to receive applications from qualified professionals.
We pledge equal access to a teaching environment that supports diversity and equality regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, or disability.
