2017 Swimming Convocation

The Brother Martin Athletic Department hosted a convocation on Monday, December 4 honoring our 44 swimmers and their families. Head coach Mr. Mark Bordelon spoke on behalf of the swim program highlighting team and individual accomplishments. Crusader Swimming Finishes Strong at State Meet

The 2017 swim team completed their season with a strong finish in the LHSAA Division 1 State Championship Meet over the Thanksgiving break.  With only four events, in scoring positions, Crusaders were able to place 15th out of 25 teams.  All three Crusader relays finished in the Top 16, adding points to the team total.  The relays were made up of seniors: Jonathan Bullock (Captain), Will Ott, and Sam Montgomery, juniors: Alex East (Captain) and Read more »

Crusaders Finish Strong in Metro

The Crusader swim team celebrated Senior Night at their district meet on October 23, but were ready to get back into action in the lanes. In district, the Crusaders competed against local swim teams while securing a third place finish. Swimmers “Rise to the Occasion” at Meet

This week, the UNO Aquatics Center was filled with school camaraderie as the Crusader swim team and their opponents warmed up for their meet. Swimming is a fall sport lasting from August to mid- November. Some team members continue training with their year- round club teams located throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Practices take place immediately after school at the University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena Aquatic Center.
