On the morning of Tuesday, November 11th, the Brother Martin NJROTC program held a special ceremony in recognition of Veterans Day. NJROTC cadets and the Brother Martin Band met for a rally around the Chief Petty Officer Fontan ’86 Flag Pole to honor our American Veterans. A special wreath laying ceremony by Chief Fontan’s family was also conducted in celebration of his birthday. Visitors and members of Chief Fontan’s family were invited to a small reception in the Meyer Building lobby following the ceremony.
Jacques Fontan was a 1986 graduate of Brother Martin High School, served as a Navy Seal and was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005.
