The Crusaders for Life and Justice are students of all grade levels who are passionate about defending the dignity of all human life and working to ensure justice for all in our community. Based on the life of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church, we strive to educate ourselves and others on the varied social issues in our world and how we are called to respond to make sure all people are treated with dignity and justice. We meet 1-2 times a month, usually on Thursday or Friday, before school. In these meetings, we learn about different social issues wherein people are not being treated with the dignity and respect they deserve as children of God, such as abortion, the death penalty, homelessness, immigration, euthanasia/physician-assisted suicide, human trafficking, all forms of discrimination, etc. We also plan and carry out learning and service experiences to raise awareness of our Christian call to address these pro-life issues, particularly during Respect Life Month (October). Lastly, every year, we join with other schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans to participate in the pilgrimage to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. where we advocate for just policies that defend the dignity of human life.
Membership is open to all students.
