These students performed their prepared solo selections for a judge. Their selections were evaluated according to the following criteria: tone, intonation, diction, technique, interpretation, and musical effect. Each performance was then rated on a scale from I to V, with I representing a superior performance.

Each of the following solo performances received a superior rating from the judge:

  • “Sebben, crudele” - Toby Alfonso
  • “Black Is the Color of My True Love’s Hair” - Jackson Dartez
  • “Loch Lomond” - Zubin Dinshaw
  • “Wayfaring Stranger” - Evan Dobson
  • “The Black Dress” - Eaven Emnace

These singers are eligible to proceed to the State Vocal Rally in April at LSU.

Congratulations also to Gavin O’Brien, who received an excellent rating for his performance of “Steal Away.”
