The Brother Martin NJROTC Crusader Company held their 51st Annual Military Inspection last week. Commander Ladner, the Area 8 Manager, presided over the full day’s review of the Cadets and programs. Commander Ladner inspected every Cadet during their class periods from uniform wear to military knowledge. Cadets Darien Alexander ‘19, Harrison Hedgpeth ‘19, and Robert Vale ‘19 provided inspections of the Cadet run Supply and Admin inventories totaling more than $200,000 of government equipment.
Cadet William Spedale, ‘19, said, “The hard work of many members of the team came together at this inspection.” Part of the day also included a complete review of financials, safety programs, classroom instruction, and instructor evaluation. The day concluded with a Pass in Review, a traditional military ceremony displaying the precision of the unit to the reviewing officer and guests. Cadet Michael Serié ‘19, the Cadet Commanding Officer, reflected on the day. “We accomplished our goals. We didn’t just want to pass. We set out at the beginning of the year to excel at the inspection. Our team accomplished that today.”
After the ceremony, the Area 8 Manager out-briefed the Principal, Mr. Ryan Gallagher ‘00. “You saw what I saw,” Commander Ladner said. “You have a great group of Cadets.” This echoed Mr. Gallagher’s comments at the ceremony. “I cannot tell you how proud I am to have this group of Cadets represent the finest that Brother Martin has to offer.”
Bravo Zulu, Crusader Company!
