This past Saturday, the Brother Martin Mu Alpha Theta Club hosted over 500 students from 23 different schools at our annual BMHS MA0 Tournament. This represents one of the two largest Mu Alpha Theta Tournaments in the state of Louisiana.

While the majority of the BMHS MA0 club members were running the tournament, some of the younger BMHS Mathletes were able to actually compete in Division 1.  The following Crusader Mathletes won recognition for their efforts competing on Saturday.

Individual Test:

Algebra 1 - Dylan Rhoton '24 (5th Place)

Geometry - Daniel Hartmann '23 (2nd), Logan Coe (Honorable Mention)

Algebra 2 - Landin Sanborn '22 (1st), Jacob Williams '22 (5th), Logan Millet '22 (Honorable Mention), Matthew Lindner '22 (Honorable Mention), Kyle Borde '22 (Honorable Mention), Brian Dufrene '22 (Honorable Mention), and Anthony Wei '22 (Honorable Mention)

Math Bowl:

Algebra 2 - 1st Place Team of Landin Sanborn, Logan Millet, Kyle Borde, and Adam Tarleton '22

For Overall Sweepstakes, the following schools were recognized:

Division 1:

Catholic High School - 1st Place
Jesuit High School - 2nd Place
Baton Rouge High School - 3rd Place

Division 2:

Dominican High School - 1st Place

St. Paul's High School - 2nd Place

Rummel High School - 3rd Place

The profits that were made from holding the Tournament will help offset the cost for those students attending Louisiana Mu Alpha Theta State Convention in March.

The Crusader Mathletes will next be in action on Tuesday, March 3rd, at the District 1 Hustle Competition, hosted by Cabrini High School.
