Dionysians Present ‘The Wiz’

The Brother Martin Dionysians are preparing for their spring production of The Wiz taking the stage tonight Friday, April 5th at 7:00 pm! Additional performances are April 6th,11th, 12th, and 13th at 7:00 pm, and a matinee performance on April 13th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $12 at the door or $15 for reserved seating.

The Wiz is a 1970’s musical with music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls (and others) and book by William F. Brown. It is a rock and soul style retelling of L. Frank Baum's classic 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

With colorful costumes and set, dynamic and exciting choreography, and powerhouse vocals, the Dionysians bring The Wiz back to the Brother Martin High School stage. Over 50 performers, technicians, and musicians collaborate to bring this amazing show to life. Exploring themes of friendship and homecoming, this musical will delight audiences of all ages. Come explore the wonderful world of Oz with Dorothy and her companions as they travel down the road of yellow brick all the while learning powerful life lessons.
