Crusader Basketball has ‘tipped off’ their season with a winning record. The Crusaders lead into the middle of the season with an 8-4 record. Our basketball players have played against some of their toughest opponents in the beginning of the season, but have shown such a bright future, for the team, with some leading players.
During the Ben Franklin game on November 21, Tyler Lally’s outstanding performance on the Conlin Gym court was one for the record books! Coach Biehl noted that, “Tyler Lally’s offensive performance against Ben Franklin was among the best that I have seen at any level in twenty-six years of coaching. Not only did he score 37 points, but he recorded five steals and had multiple pass deflections. He had a complete game.”
Lally is one of three seniors on the team who continue to keep the Crusaders motivated and positive about the remaining games of the season.
“The boys on the team and the coaches are still trying to establish ‘our’ identity for this upcoming district season. After losing four starters last season, we have our work cut out for us. I am pleased with how hard the boys have been working. Our three seniors (Jason Stant, Tyler Epps, and Tyler Lally) have been phenomenal leaders,” commented Coach Biehl.
Come out to support your Crusader Basketball team during the Christmas break! Crusaders take on Franklinton High School tonight, December 21. Tip off is for 6 p.m.
