Mu Alpha Theta Takes 2nd Place in Baton Rouge

2016 CHS MA0 TourneyOn Saturday, January 9th, the Mu Alpha Theta Club of Brother Martin traveled to Baton Rouge competing with over 500 students from across Louisiana in the Catholic High Mu Alpha Theta Tournament. The Crusaders earned 2nd Place in the Division I tournament.  This was the highest place Brother Martin’s MA0 Club has finished during Mr. Patrick McClain’s and Mr. Ryan Skyta’s tenure as moderators.

After finishing as well as the Crusaders did, Club President (and seasoned MA0 veteran) David Bowman ‘16 said, “It’s hard to put how excited I feel into words, so let me try this,  excitement. I’d say that about sums it up.”

Club Moderator Mr. McClain said, “I couldn’t be prouder of my guys.  They put in a lot of hard work to get to this point.  But we aren’t done yet.  We’re taking it one tournament at a time as we shoot for our goal, First Place in State Convention!  We’ve got more work to do, but I’m confident that our guys can keep their minds and pencils sharp as we finish out the Mu Alpha Theta season.”
