Congratulations to the Varsity Cross Country team for its victory at the St. Joseph’s Invitational Saturday defeating runner-up Catholic High by three points. Nick Franco and Jared Allen finished 3rd and 4th overall, and Ken Newburger, Dylan Yates and Ben Dugas all finished in the top 20. Michael Saacks and Cobe Kirkikis, Patrick Hoppe, Lee Burnett and Taylor Longwell also ran well. The Jr. High finished 2nd behind Catholic High with Top 10 finishes from Mason Williams and Felipe Pelaez. Mason Manale, Jonathan Fry, Kevin Broadbridge and Liam Murphy also ran well. 7th grader Ryan Bailey ran 13:26 for 2 miles, setting a new 7th grade school record. The Crusaders compete this coming Saturday at the Catholic High Invitational in Baton Rouge.
