The top ranked wrestling program in the state crushed Hahnville with a 71-6 dual meet victory Wednesday night with 11 of the 12 Crusader match victories coming via pin fall.
Recording pins for Brother Martin was Steven Shields (113), Seth Gambill (126), Ryan Genco (132), Blaine Elsensohn (138), Mason Williams (145), Seth Johnson (152), Daniel Evans (160), Pierce Williams (170), Yehia Riles (182), Travis Viener (195) and Jacob Clapp at heavyweight. Clapp, who usually wrestles 220 but bumped up to heavyweight, pinned his opponent in three minutes. Luke Cotton scored a 17-2 technical fall at 108 for the Crusaders.
The 1st team will wrestle in the Live Oak Duals on Saturday in Baton Rouge, and the 2nd and 3rd teams will wrestle at the City Tournament at Holy Cross.
