World Culture Club Celebrates Jamaican Culture

After Standardized Testing Day, the World Culture Club gathered in the Auditorium for an afternoon celebrating Jamaican culture! Even though they were done with testing day, club moderator Mr. Aaron Reller quizzed the club members about their knowledge of Jamaica. After all the fun pop-quizzes were turned in, the club watched a Jamaican themed film 'Cool Runnings' and enjoyed Jamaican cuisine from Boswell's Jamaican Restaurant.

The Jamaican dishes included unique food items such as jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail, plantains, and even a few Jamaican sodas. World Culture Club will continue to enjoy events throughout the year while highlighting other cultures and region of the world and getting a taste of their cuisine!
