Father all powerful, your gifts of love are countless and your goodness infinite; as we come before you during this time of Thanksgiving with gratitude for your kindness, open our hearts to have concern for every man, woman, and child,
so that we may share your gifts in loving service.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
On Friday, November 22, Crusaders gathered together in the James B. Branton Chapel for prayer services to give thanks to God for all the gifts he has given to us. Sponsored by Campus Ministry, the prayer services, which took place during the students’ religion classes, recognized the significance of the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday and allowed students to express what they are grateful for in their families, at Brother Martin, and in their personal lives. Students also reflected on their appreciation for Father André Coindre, the founder of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, and his charism that is the guiding inspiration for our school community.
Director of Campus Ministry, Tom Baier, encouraged students to believe that God loves us deeply, mercifully, and gracefully. He reminded them that gratitude and service are universal, so they should “go out and set the world on fire.”
Thank you to the students, religion teachers, and Campus Ministry Team for participating in the prayer services this Thanksgiving season.
