On Thursday, April 16, Brother Martin High School hosted “Where I Learned to Teach: Brother Martin High School’s Partnership With Parents.” The focus of these talks centered on supporting parents in the formation of their sons’ faith.

Principal Ryan Gallagher ’00 welcomed attendees and introduced the guest panel, led by Campus Minister Mr. Donnie Midkiff ’03. The panel featured Deacon Brett Barrios, Mr. Thomas "TeeJay" Nash ’12, Crusader parents Mr. Brian Hymel and Mrs. Michele Hymel (Michael ‘24 and Andrew ‘26), and Fr. Kyle Dave ’89, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse.

Parents engaged with the readings of Fr. Andre Coindre and participated in small group discussions. The panelists shared their own experiences, encouraging parents to be intentional with their faith and to always pray for their children.

Thank you to our Crusader parents, panelists, and guests for making this a truly formative evening. We look forward to continuing this important partnership as we guide and support both our young men and their families in faith.
