UConn Athletic Director Warde Manuel ’86 was featured in The New York Times by William C. Rhoden on the expectations and roles that student- athletes play both on and off campus. He recalls his journey of being a student-athlete at the University of Michigan. Manuel was a high school All-American football player and played for the University of Michigan. Later, he went on to letter in track and field for the Wolverines.
