On Tuesday, November 13th, Senior Raymond Price received First Prize in the French Oratory Contest sponsored by the Council of French Societies. Raymond delivered an excerpt from Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) and answered questions in French from a panel of native-speaking judges. The award was presented at the New Orleans Historic Collection and presented by French Consul Jean-Claude Brunet. Madame Mary Oestriecher, Raymond’s French teacher at Brother Martin, was present at the ceremony and also received an award for her work with Raymond.
