Track & Field Posts Strong Marks at Catholic High Meet

IMG_9599Congratulations to the members of the Track & Field Team who posted strong marks at the Catholic High Tip-Off on Saturday. Junior Hunter Appleton won both the 1600 meter 3200 meter runs in impressive times of 4:20 and 9:30 respectively.  Junior Jackson Anuszkiewicz ran 2:03 in the 800 meter run to finish second. In the sprint events, Senior Damon Smith scored in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes while the 4×100 meter relay team of Junior Jack Romano, Damon Smith, Senior Tyler Thompson, and Senior Neko Rojas ran an impressive time of 44.6 for a second place finish.  Leading the field events were Senior throwers Matthew Christy and John Buchert who both scored valuable team points in the shot put placing 3rd and 4th respectively.

The Crusader Athletes will be back in action on Thursday at the Ronnie Doyle Classic and on Saturday at the Brothers of the Sacred Heart meet.  Good Luck to our Crusader Track & Field!
