The Krewe of Carrollton paraded on Sunday, Feb. 24 for the 2019 Mardi Gras season. It was not just any parade, but a very special one for the Brother Martin community.  In keeping with our 50/150 Anniversary Celebration, the Krewe of Carrollton added a special 50/150 anniversary float called “Brothers of the Sacred Heart” in their lineup. The float contained seven past and current faculty members of Brother Martin: Brother Neal Golden ’57 CJ, Greg Rando ’77, Brother Ronald Hingle, S.C. ’78, Guy Nelson, Barry Hebert ’74, John Devlin, and Kenny Spellman '84. Parade goers were even treated to crimson and gold medallion beads, cups, and doubloons. In addition, the Crusader Marching Band, NJROTC, cheerleaders, and Dominican Debs were marching in front of the float.
