The Class of 1973 celebrated their 50-Year Reunion with a weekend of events. On Friday, members of the class gathered at the Alumni Seafood Dinner for their "grads only" party. On Saturday, Darlene and Marc Robért '73 hosted the Reunion at their home in Old Metairie. The evening began with Mass celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Andrew Taormina '54. Following Mass, attendees enjoyed beverages and delicious servings from Robért Fresh Market. Johnny LeBourgios organized the Reunion and was assisted by Joe Bennett, Joe Exnicios, Jeff Kaszubinski, Jerry Muller, and Norman Romagosa.
The Class of 1973 has endowed two scholarships in the St Aloysius Century Foundation, The First Four Year Class of 1973 Scholarship and The Johnny LeBourgeois ’73 Crusader Spirit Scholarship, as well as raised more than $50,000 for their “50 for 50” campaign. They were instrumental in placing the Brother Martin Hernandez, S.C. Statue in the backyard on campus. They have also volunteered to sponsor, cook, and serve food at our Fishing Rodeo for more than a decade. Their class participation and spirit serve as a model for all of our classes.
