After finishing runner up in Regionals, the tennis team had six qualifiers move on to compete in the State Tournament in Monroe last week. Those qualifying in Doubles consisted of Corey Canzoneri ’17 and Chris Russo’18 plus Ian Sigl ’16 and Matthew Spieler ’16. Both teams advanced in the 1st round. Singles qualifier Zachary Brubaker’17 advanced in the 1st round, while Ben Chanes ’18 lost a tough 1st round match. Congratulations to the team for finishing tied for 7th place with a total of three points in a field of 25 teams.
Almost the entire team is returning next year. The future looks bright as long as the boys continue to do the work necessary throughout the Summer and Fall.
