The Crusader swim team controlled the waters in a dual meet against Chalmette High School and Archbishop Rummel. The team defeated Rummel 112-43 and Chalmette 108-43.
Top finishers were:
– Chris Gross: 1st – 50 yard Freestyle; 1st – 100 yard Breaststroke
– Faulkner Stewart: 2nd – 50 yard Freestyle; 1st – 100 yard Backstroke
– Jack Neelis: 2nd – 200 yard Freestyle
– Jarret Bealer: 2nd – 500 yard Freestyle
– Chris Flynn: 2nd – 100 yard Breaststroke
– Anthony Centanni: 2nd – 100 yard Butterfly
The team also placed 1st in all three relay events:
– 200 yard Free Relay made up of Jack Neelis, Shawn Brown, Anthony Centanni, and Chris Gross
– 200 yard Medley Relay made up of Garrett Frey, Chris Gross, Will East, and Jarret Bealer
– 400 yard Free Relay made up of Jack Neelis, Will East, Faulkner Stewart, and Jarret Bealer
The team will compete in the Breast Cancer Invitational on Saturday at the UNO pool. The event will start at 1 p.m.
