This week, the Crusaders finished in third place overall in the District Championship Swim Meet. The night was a special because Crusader seniors celebrated Senior Night. Coach Mark Bordelon presented each senior to the crowd, along with a corsage for each senior’s mother. The top five individual finishers in the meet were Ty Tubbs ’19 in the 50 yard freestyle, Jarrett Bealer ’17 in the 100 yard freestyle, Shawn Brown ’17 in the 100 yard breaststroke, Ryan O’Connor ’19 in the 100 yard butterfly, and Hunter Appleton ’19 in both the 200 yard and 500 yard freestyle. The relay teams took second in all three relay events: the 200 yard medley relay of Alex East ’19, Shawn Brown ’17, Ryan O’Connor ’19, and Jarrett Bealer ’17; the 200 yard freestyle relay of Anthony Centanni ’17, Sam Montgomery ’18, Jonathan Bullock ’18, and Ty Tubbs ’19; and the 400 yard freestyle relay of Jarrett Bealer ’17, Hunter Appleton ’19, Ty Tubbs ’19, and Shawn Brown ’17.
