This summer several Crusader seniors attended a student ministry workshop along with Catholic High, St, Stanislaus, and St. Scholastica students. Held at St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, this two and one half day workshop focused on the various dimensions of student ministry and emphasized the responsibilities each student has to their school. Discussions centered around the characteristics of ministry-service, the importance of a prayer-life, communication skills, and small group dynamics, just to name a few. At the end of the workshop the more than 180 students were commissioned into service.
These students attended a follow-up workshop held in the Branton Chapel on Saturday, August 17th. In a compressed schedule, Mr. Baier and Mr. Dean Songy, student ministry moderators, covered the major topics of student ministry. They were commissioned into service at the end of Mass.
