Steven Jupiter ’86 was elected Saturday to the New Orleans Traffic Court, defeating Clint Smith in a runoff election. The two lawyers had survived a large field of hopefuls looking to succeed retired Judge Ron Sholes.
Jupiter, who will fill the remaining months of Sholes’ term, will have to run again in a year should he want a full, eight-year term.
