Cory Gaconi got the win in Monday afternoon’s game against Shaw based Refuel allowing one run on four hits and one walk in 89 pitches while striking out five. Peake BMW took an early lead in the first inning. The score remained 1-0 until the fifth inning when Peake BMW loaded the bases with one out. After an infield pop-up for the second out, Owen Magee doubled the lead with an RBI-single to center.
Peake BMW tacked on four insurance runs in the seventh with the help of two errors, two walks and a hit batsman.
For Peake BMW, Parker Oubre went 2-for-3 while Blake Battle was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. Owen Magee had three RBIs, and Jacob Seward scored twice.
Peake BMW’s next game will be against Ponstein’s on Wednesday at Kirsch-Rooney at 5:00 pm.
