The entire Brother Martin community gathered in the Robert Conlin Gymnasium for a special Lenten Prayer Service centered around the Stations of the Cross. The Student Ministers created a powerful way for the school community to reflect on the Passion of Jesus Christ. A disembodied voice (students reading from inside the locker room) described each station while students viewed a traditional visual depiction of the event described as well as a contemporary counterpart. Each station ended with a question to challenge participants to follow Jesus’ example. Following the reading for each station, a candle was lit. Finally, the prayer service ended with Pope John Paul II’s recommended 15th Station–the Resurrection.
