St. Aloysius Class of ’66 Alumni Archive Fund

IMG_7197Dear St. Aloysius Class of ’66,

The Alumni & Development Office has created an area to display memorabilia from St. Aloysius, Cor Jesu, and Brother Martin. This designated area is located near the receptionist’s desk in the foyer, next to the auditorium. In cooperation with the Alumni & Development Office, our class has been given the opportunity to sponsor this area. Our intention is to rotate the memorabilia items periodically with items in the Alumni & Development archives.

A group of us from the St. Aloysius Class of ’66 recently asked the school what we could do as a class during meetings about our 50-year Reunion. We were informed that this area was something that was needed to display the tradition and celebrate the history of the Brothers’ schools in New Orleans, particular, St. Aloysius. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to assist with this project. Any additional money raised will be put into the General Scholarship Fund in the St. Aloysius Century Foundation. By donating, you will create an opportunity to keep alive the “Brothers of the Sacred Heart” tradition. The displays will give visitors and students an opportunity to learn and relive the Brothers’ schools in New Orleans dating back to 1869. Your donation will help support the Brothers of the Sacred Heart and Brother Martin High School. In recognition of the St. Aloysius Class of ’66 sponsorship, a plaque will be displayed in the area. There will be an item or items from the St. Aloysius Class of ’66 displayed prominently at all times along with our class composite.

The money raised will help “keep the past alive” by assisting in funding the furnishings, maintaining the displays and possible expansion. We would greatly appreciate your support in this endeavor. We hope you will join us as we, once again, continue to represent the St. Aloysius Class of ’66 proudly. Please send your gift to the Alumni & Development Office and note that it is for the “St. Aloysius Class of 1966” archive fund.
