The Brother Martin community and guests are invited to the annual St. Joseph’s Day Altar in celebration of St. Joseph, who is the patron Saint of the Universal Church, of fathers and husbands, of workers and a happy death.
The altar will be held in the James B. Branton Chapel (on campus) on Sunday, March 18 with a Blessing of the Altar beginning at 10:30 a.m. The altar will be open to the public from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. On Monday, March 19, the altar will remain open to the public from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Please note: There will not be a Mass celebrated in association with our St. Joseph’s Day Blessing of the Altar on Sunday. We encourage all of our guests to attend Mass at your Church Parish before or after viewing the altar.
The Spaghetti Dinner will be available to our Brother Martin community on Monday, March 19 from 2:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. in the Tom & Gayle Benson Mall with a dine-in or take-out option. This celebration offers New Orleans natives and visitors a chance to share food with others and a way to express gratitude and good fortune in their lives.
All donations to the altar and all funds received will be donated to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Missions in the U.S. and around the world.
