During the morning of February 3, the Crusaders were ready for their annual winter sports pep rally. The Brother Martin cheerleaders, band, winter sport teams, and students were ‘All-In’ for a pep rally to recognize the winter athletic programs. In addition, Student Council even hosted their annual faculty vs. student basketball game. In the past, the students were usually victorious, but this year the faculty won by a score of 8-6.
Members of the faculty had a little help from their surprise athletic guests that included Ed McPherson ’08, Dante Butler ’11, Schane Rillieux ’11, and Myron Chapman ’12. Butler, Rillieux, and Chapman were also members of the 2010 Class 5A boys’ basketball state championship team. These former players defeated Scotlandville in the championship game by a score of 55-54.
