Students in Ms. Cherie Tregre’s Spanish III Honors classes visited the Storyteller Special Effects Studio in Jefferson, Louisiana. The Riggs, owners of the studio, helped the students use rain sticks, wind, fog, and snow in several weather-related scenes in their filmed scripts. Other special effects used include the detonation of a model house and a simulated wound. Students will used this filming as part of a multi-stage project that features students writing a script, performing in a filmed scene–all in Spanish–and editing the film through the use of Windows Media Maker.
