Around Brother Martin High School, “It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas,” especially for Crusader Bandsmen. On Wednesday, December 11th, the Brother Martin Crusader Band, family, and friends joined together for a merry performance with sound waves of their favorite songs of the season at the “Annual Christmas Concert” held in the Robert M. Conlin Gymnasium. The Novice Band performed songs such as “Santa’s in the House” and “First Holiday Fanfare.” Following, Symphonic Band performed “Colors of Fall,” “Angelic Christmas,” and “Rough Riders.”

Ending the joyful night, guests felt like they were “Home for the Holidays” as they listened to this medley and others including “Jubilant Holiday” and a “Festive Christmas.” Following the concert, band members, family, and friends gathered in the Benson Mall for refreshments.

Throughout the first semester, the Crusader Band played at 11 regular season football games, two playoff games, four school pep rallies, four school liturgies, had a successful summer Band Camp and performed at our school Open House. The highlight of this semester was the Crusader Band and Dominican Debs achieving Sweepstakes at the District VI Band Directors Association “Marching Band Assessment.” This continues the Band’s tradition of excellence for more than 30 years!
