The Brother Martin Mu Alpha Theta math honor society chapter recently sent delegates to the annual state convention held in Baton Rouge. The three-day event features individual and group math competitions as well as social opportunities for the young men and women in attendance. Senior Andrew Crespo placed second in the History of Math competition, and senior Yuki Kurusu, the state treasurer for Mu Alpha Theta, placed 8th in the individual calculus test. The biggest winners of the event were seniors Dominick Spadoni, Kevin Branley, Yuki Kurusu, and Donald Davis who placed 1st overall in the Calculus Math Bowl competition. Congratulations to all of our “mathletes”!
