This past Friday evening the Brother Martin Soccer team hosted the South Lafourche Tarpons at Pan American Stadium in the opening round of the 2012 playoffs. The Crusaders started out strong scoring 2 first half goals, while holding the Tarpons to just 2 shots, and keeping the momentum for most of the match. Brother Martin put the finishing touches on the game by scoring a 3rd goal in the 74th minute to seal the victory. Goals were scored for the Crusaders by Brandon Broders, Michael Rumney (assisted by Broders), and Cristian Canales.
Brother Martin will take on Fontainebleau in the second round. The match will take place Thursday, February 9th at 3:07 p.m. on Farley Field.
