Soccer Makes a Statement in Season Finale

The regular season finale between the Rummel Raiders and the Brother Martin Crusaders ended 7-0 in favor of the Crusaders. Freshman Blake Robbins and junior Bailey Nuss each scored twice to lead the No. 4 ranked Crusaders.

Brother Martin (11-2-5) scored its first goal in the 17th minute when Robbins found Nuss in the box for the goal. Robbins would get the second goal of the game in the 34th minute with a powerful shot in the box to take a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Crusaders added to their lead in the 48th minute when Robbins got his second goal of the match for a 3-0 lead. The scoring floodgates opened after the 50th minute with Patrick Quinn, William Thiele, Nuss (2) and Alex Rodriguez all finding the back of the net.
