In Ms. Sanderson’s 9th grade Honors English classroom, brevity is the word. In September, the students started by brainstorming a large list of words then whittling that list to a lean, 6 word memoir. Students learned about the power of a single word, and how choosing the right words can bring a memory to life. The final product was to combine the six words with a compelling image and create a slide. The slides are a snapshot into the students’ lives.
