Last week, Coach Franks’ Physical Science classes were required to build various Rube Goldberg machines which require a number of steps to complete a simple task. The object of this project was to accomplish a simple task by using a series of complicated steps. Students had to include at least four steps and use at least three of the six simple machines which consisted of pulleys, levers, screw, wheel and axle, inclined plane, and a wedge. Crusaders had about two weeks to come up with an idea to accomplish such tasks as popping a balloon and pouring milk and cereal into a bowl.
