Shaid Stewart Selected to 2015 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band

Brother Martin Drum Major Shaid Stewart, Class of 2015, has been selected as a 2015 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band Musician. Each year since 2011, a Brother Martin student has been selected as a U.S. Army All-American band member. Shaid was nominated during his junior year by Mr. Dominic Caronna ’85. He submitted an audition tape and application to the Music Educators National Conference, the National Association of Music Education, in order to qualify for this honor. Shaid, one of only 125 band and color guard members selected in this national competition, will perform the trumpet at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl’s half-time show on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Representatives from the U.S. Army All-American Bowl were at Brother Martin on Thursday, October 30th to honor Shaid in front of family, friends, and classmates.
