Seven Run Fourth Inning Secures Win for Peake BMW

Jarett Gongora slide2After leaving five runners on base, Peake BMW got things started in the fourth inning with some clutch hitting.  After a Jacob Seward RBI, bases loaded single to get things going, Peake BMW scored six runs with two outs. Daniel Lahare and Gongora each had two-run singles while Peyton Senner and Owen Magee drove in runs with a single and walk, respectively.

The Brother Martin based team added another run in the fifth with Cody Ducote’s sacrifice fly to center that scored Blake Battle, who opened the inning with a single.  The game would end with an 8-0 victory for Peake BMW over Holy Cross based Ponstein’s.

On the mound, starter Jonathan Ebersole (2-1) got the win allowing five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts.  Reliever Jarrett Gongora struck out five in two innings of scoreless work.
