Recently, Mr. Valiente’s Chemistry classes participated in a paper chromatography lab. Students were asked to take a mixture of food dyes and using various solvents try to separate the dyes into their individual colors. The lab afforded the students an opportunity to learn a separation technique that is widely used in various substances.
