The Class of 2018 along with their ‘Crusader Dads’ attended the annual Senior Father-Son Dinner & Games Night on Monday evening. Seniors and their dads joined together for a fun-filled night with great company, food, and activities. The evening began in the Tom & Gayle Benson Mall with a prayer service led by a few seniors and their dads. Following the prayer, Seniors and their fathers enjoyed a Brother Martin-style barbecue: hamburgers, baked potatoes, all of the fixings, and dessert.
Throughout the evening, numerous activities took place including a photo contest to match seniors with the picture of their dad as a high school senior, as well as a volleyball tournament in the Conlin Gymnasium, open-play ping pong on the Mezzanine, free-play basketball in the St. Aloysius Gymnasium and seven rounds of trivia in the Benson Mall. Romaguera Photography was also on site for ‘formal’ pictures for the father and son duos. What a wonderful night for fathers and sons to spend some quality time together as their Brother Martin ‘career’ begins to transition into another phase.
Senior Dad Ryan Robbins ‘90 reflected, “It was a wonderful night. We were talking on the way home how busy we all are and that tonight was a great opportunity to hang out together. The meal was delicious and the games were fun and competitive. I’m so glad we went and am looking forward to the next senior event.”
Congratulations Class of 2018!
