The second of four senior retreats was held on the 13th and 14th of October at the Solomon Episcopal Conference Center in Robert, Louisiana. Talks by Mrs. Judy Rodriguez, Mr. Dean Songy, Mr. Jim Bourg, Mr. Connell Vallette, and Mr. Tommy Moran set the tone for contemplative reflection. Small groups formed that Sunday afternoon to discuss in-depth the topics generated by the presenters. All topics pointed to the major theme of the retreat, which was the “Transition into Christian Manhood.” The day ended with Mass, the culmination of the talks, small group meetings, and reflection. Monday, after morning prayer and quiet time, students experienced nature’s healing and regenerative powers just before the final talk. After a group picture, the 59th senior retreat ended as many voices praised the relevance of a very satisfying experience.
