Second Sunday of Advent Reflection written by senior Colby Coulon.
As we enter into week two of the Advent season, we begin to think of our relationship with Christ. As a Catholic community, we all come together to prepare for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The love God offers us is revealed through this season of Advent as He sends his only Son to save us from Original Sin.
To prepare for His coming, the Brother Martin school community lights the second candle of the Advent wreath which reveals the light that God will bestow upon us. Also in preparation, the school community manifests this act of love through many donations through this season, such as a toy drive and money donations for others who are less fortunate.
During the holiday season, the Crusader family is a selfless community as we come together to help others in need. Throughout this holiday season, we remember the love God has bestowed upon us as we model this love in our contact with others.
