Ryan O’Rourke '17 Receives CYLA Scholarship Award

O_Rourke_Ryan869On Thursday evening, April 21, at the St. Christopher Parish Community Center, dozens of people gathered together to pay tribute to the winners of an Art contest and the coveted Catholic Youth Leadership Award (CYLA).  The Knights of Columbus sponsors this scholarship award and presents it to any young Catholic adult who is not only an outstanding student but also an outstanding contributor to the local community. By participating in the CYLA Scholarship program, a senior boy and girl have an opportunity to be recognized as one of the best Catholic students in their respective schools.  To qualify, this Christian student must possess strong Catholic values, must have an outstanding academic grade point average, and be a leader in school and in the local community.  The local council of the Knights of Columbus honored a senior girl from Archbishop Chapelle High School and Ryan O’Rourke, a senior at Brother Martin High School, as remarkable leaders, both academically and socially.  Each received a check for $100.

Congratulations once again to senior Ryan O’Rourke!
