Ryan Gallagher ’00, Principal and member of the BOSH Alumni Association, was recently featured in the “Ones to Watch” (pages 36-37) section of City Business for the Sept. 15-28 edition.
Ryan Gallagher has over 12 years of experience as a teacher and administrator at Brother Martin High School. As principal, he guides the school with servant leadership while demonstrating commitment to the educational charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. In partnership with 105 faculty members, Gallagher serves as the leader of campus life, overseeing the holistic education and spiritual formation of nearly 1200 students.
In 2014, Gallagher was selected to participate in the Coindre Leadership Program, an international program instituted by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart that involves a variety of experiences aimed to form its leaders to carry forth the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in their schools. Prior to becoming principal, Gallagher served as the assistant principal for discipline and attendance and head cross country coach. He has served as past president and clinic coordinator of the Louisiana Track & Field Coaches Association.
In 2007, Gallagher was recognized at the LTFCA 5A Cross Country Coach of the Year. He graduated from Brother Martin in 2000 and continued his higher education at Tulane University, earning his bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees.
