Members of the 7th grade band, percussion ensemble, and jazz band were featured at a special concert in the Prof. Joseph Taverna Band Room this week. Under the direction of Chris Bailey ’86 and Nico Camero ’07, these young men performed a variety of pieces, including Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” Donald Josuweit’s “Blue Mountain Overture,” Jay Chattaway’s “Sneaker,” and Louis Prima’s “Sing, Sing, Sing.” The percussion ensemble also performed Cadences #1, 2, 3, and 5 from Marty Hurley. Thank you to the band directors, parents, and musicians for an outstanding evening of live music!
