Dear Brother Martin Community,
I pray that this email finds each of you well as we face this ongoing global crisis. We continue to pray for those worldwide who have been affected by COVID-19. Over the last twenty-four hours, we have learned that a family member of one of our students has contracted the CoronaVirus and is being treated at a local hospital.
Given that our campus has been closed since Friday, March 13, coupled with the Governor’s state-wide 'stay at home' order, we have been adhering to best practices as advised by the CDC and the Louisiana Department of Health prior to this recent diagnosis. Our campus has been disinfected and will be fully disinfected before we return to school. Should your son(s) or any members of your household contract the virus, please let us know so that we can continue to communicate with the appropriate officials. We continue to pray especially for those in our school community afflicted by the virus.
We are now one week into our Remote Learning initiative, and the response from our students, faculty, and parents has been incredible. On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, I extend my sincerest gratitude to each of you. As you have witnessed first hand, our students are working hard, and so too are our teachers. Personally, I am proud and inspired by this collective response, the commitment to our school mission, and the expression of solidarity from our entire Brother Martin community. When you or your son is experiencing difficulty, or you have questions or concerns, please reach out to us. More than anything, we want to hear from you.
We have compiled a handful of updates, resources, and reminders to aid you and your son(s) moving forward. We will continue to provide these resources on a regular basis in the hope that they prove useful for you and your son(s). Please click here to access that list.
