During the last several days, the Class of 2018 celebrated Mass, by Religion class, in the James B. Branton Chapel. Families of the juniors were invited to attend their son’s Religion class Mass as well. Under the direction of Dr. Tony Melito and Mr. Jerry Ursin, the junior Religion teachers, each class had the opportunity to worship together in a smaller setting and to fully participate in the Mass. Brother Louis Couvillon, an ordained Brother of the Sacred Heart, was the celebrant at each Mass. In his remarks, Bro. Louis referenced the Beatitudes while also focusing on the Junior Class Christian Service Experience. Religion class Mass, at each grade level, is yet another way that Brother Martin High School continues to promote our Catholic heritage while fulfilling the school’s mission in the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
